The pattern on the mount itself is slightly narrower and the motor mounts slightly angled, for ease of setting mesh. This mount will fit UP TO a 18t MOD.5 pinion. Forward Facing. \n\nPlease note, you will need to line up the pinion gear with the spur gear. Some motors have very short motor shafts, and you may have issues. Pinion gears with grub screws tend to be longer and have an easier time reaching the spur gear. These motor mounts are designed specifically for bigger pinion gears and are suitable for higher speed scx24 builds, like monster trucks or prerunners. These mounts fit without any issues in both the Microrunner Builders Kit and Prerunner Chassis that are offered. They will also fit stock skid plates, and can be trimmed a little bit if there are slight clearance issues. I have not tested all available pinions, but the 16mm mount will fit anything from a 14t .5 mod pinion to a 28t .5 mod pinion. The 12mm mount will fit a 12t .5 mod up to 20t .5 mod.
